What is a .INS file?
The most common data format on the web.
An INS file is a compiled binary script used by InstallShield installers from the 1990s, almost always named setup.ins. You do not open it directly. Run the setup.exe in the same folder instead. Legacy InstallShield runtimes from that era may not work on 64-bit Windows 10/11, so a compatibility mode or virtual machine is sometimes needed.
